Safe Fertilisers assist conversion to organic

Safe Fertilisers currently markets 9 BFA Certified Input fertilisers, 2 liquid inputs- Activ-8' soil activator, and liquid lime and 2 stockfeed supplements. These products are mainly acquired by growers who have already achieved organic certification.

Conventional growers still relying on high levels of water soluble chemical fertilisers are being pressured to reduce nutrient runoff into catchments, rivers and marine park areas. Most growers will not take the plunge into the organic certification arena, and most would fail without first mastering the science of the soil.

Safe Fertilisers has developed the Alroc Supablend range of fertilisers to assist growers in this transition. The Supablend fertilisers consist of 70% organic certified mineral fertilisers, blended to react with 30% chemical fertilisers thereby reducing the acidity, making the nutrients available to the plants at the same time reducing the negative impact on the soil and the environment.

Conventional growers using the Alroc Supablends can have the fertiliser tailor-made to suit their soil and crop requirements. Growers will observe a noticeable improvement In the roots of their crops, soil texture and moisture retention, as well as achieving a gradual improvement in quality and yields, sugar and protein level of their crops. It is then that the growers can realise that they are already 70% on the way to organic sustainability and may be encouraged to proceed further to organic certification.
